Detroit: Become Human
analyzed 2026-10-04 · sample of 363 English reviews across the whole review history
Across 363 sampled reviews, the story is the most frequently discussed aspect, named in 117 reviews and positive in 107 of them. Players describe "many choices and consequences", and player choice draws 76 mentions, 70 of them positive, with one reviewer noting that choices "can change the story from the very beginning of the game". Characters, graphics, and replayability follow, each landing overwhelmingly positive; emotional impact and music are smaller but almost uniformly favorable. Criticism concentrates in a few places. Controls appear in 16 reviews, 14 of them negative, with complaints about motion inputs being "hard to execute on a PC". Performance and stability draw similar patterns, and the camera comes up as a recurring theme. Writing splits more evenly, and pacing is mixed, including the remark that "Dialogues, cutscenes and credits are 100% unskippable". Price_value leans positive, with one reviewer calling it "definitely worth the money" and another suggesting "10 euros would be the right price". Game_length mentions often land neutral. The overall picture is a game whose narrative and presentation carry it, while technical execution is where the friction sits.

Choices are actually so important that they can change the story from the very beginning of the game and you can see the butterfly effect it creates much much later in the game.

It is not much of a game, and the quicktime events and poor controls may ruin it for some people, and all resolutions are not properly supported on PC (though there are ways, just google it if needed), but then …
-
Drawbacks: the circular motion to clean and open doors as well as the slide up are hard to execute on a PC.

I personally felt far more attached to the story than games like TWD or the amazing "the wolf among us" since the setting is meticulously staged so that it feels real.
-
Scary and immersive, simply amazing
-
I already have it on Playstation but I wanted to buy it here to show my support because it is such a well put together and made game and even though it is kind of point and click it still keeps the immersion and is interesting.

I have little negative to say about this game, besides that Markus's story and Jericho felt poorly introduced and was a slog to get through those few chapters.

How this report was made
- Population
- all Steam reviews of the game (every language, purchase type, and verdict), walked newest-first per window; only English-language reviews are analyzed
- Sample
- 363 English reviews, time-proportional draw over 77 windows (newest-first within each), taken from an all-language walk and kept English-only — where English is a minority the sample runs smaller than the draw, and every margin of error is computed at 363
- Aspect yield
- 201 of 363 analyzed reviews carry at least one aspect (55.4%); every share on this page divides by all 363
- Interval regime
- calm: standard margins of error for a share of a sample (Wilson interval), no widening needed
- Fetch paths
- 77 time windows fetched directly (windowed)
- Language mix
- 1,000 fetched: english 364 · russian 187 · schinese 76 · 19 more
- Steam-marked windows
- none flagged by Steam (Valve's off-topic flagging began March 2019)
- Marked share
- 0.0% of sample inside marked windows, under the 2% floor
- Narrative
- passed the grounding gate first try
- Evidence floor
- aspects and emergent themes appear only with 5+ supporting reviews; smaller counts sit at the classifier's false-positive floor
- Instrument readings
- measured once on the study corpus for this model and prompt: frozen calibration, not properties of this run
- · aspect tagging vs. human labels
- 0.801 [0.752–0.844] (F1 against a human-labeled test set; 1.0 is best)
- · quotes filed under the wrong aspect
- 11.6% [6.6–19.6] of quotes, measured by hand on a sample; lower is better — measured on the prior model (2026-08-05); re-measurement pending
- · independent model vs. production labels
- 0.791 [0.772–0.810] (F1 of the production labeler against an independent judge model) — measured on the prior model (2026-07-25); re-measurement pending
