Dispatch
analyzed 2026-10-22 · sample of 651 English reviews across the whole review history
Players consistently single out the story, which appears in 30.6% of sampled reviews and is overwhelmingly positive, alongside characters at 16.0% with no negative mentions. Writing draws praise for dialogue and humor, with one reviewer calling it "the best writing I’ve seen in a long time." Voice acting, animation, music, and art style all skew positive, and the world and atmosphere are described as immersive. Opinion splits most clearly on player choice, which draws 22 negative mentions against 43 positive, and on gameplay, where 12 reviews are negative and 10 mixed. Game length is the sharpest criticism: 26 negative mentions against 5 positive, with complaints about short play sessions and episodic release. Content amount is similarly criticized, while price value leans positive, with one reviewer noting "It is worth the asking price." Replayability and addictiveness are frequently praised, and players also bring up romance and the hacking minigame. Performance and bugs draw few mentions and mostly positive ones. The overall picture is a game carried by its narrative and presentation, with its structure and amount of playable content the main points of contention.

characters
99 positive · 0 negative · 5 mixed · 0 neutral
-
The characters are well voiced and seem to have some depth to them.
-
The dialogue is sharp, the characters feel real, and the story actually takes its time to build something meaningful instead of leaning on cheap twists.
-
However the characters you're dispatching feel more relevant to the story elements, hence the significant drop in the dispatch gameplay by comparison.
When you're talking to the reporters in episode 1 and you have the option to answer him, i thought for sure he would say something stupid but NO he gave a REAL answer, which is what i WANTED i was so happy lol
I want to replay parts one and two already but I want to get the story as a whole experience before I go back and see what could've been!

Yet I've only 1.4 hrs in the game and am able to refund. This is why I have mixed feelings.
-
But really short. I hope the rest will be a little longer.
-
So either get it after december or be ready to play a game for about 90 minutes and then 45 minutes once every co uple of weeks.

have to wait for all the episodes to come out would be annoyed if this cost more but at the price point im fine with it

☑ Worth the price

You should buy this, on sale or not. It is worth the asking price. I'd go so far as to call it Perfect in almost every way, just wish there was more.

The Soundtrack is awesome.
-
+ Music - though through the gameplay there are some nice tunes, the bangers in the credits of each episode or cutscenes hit different 🔥
-
The music is beautiful and well mixed too.

It hits that level of impact where finishing it almost feels like a loss, because you know you’ll never get that first-time run back.
-
Playing this game feels like the first time i watched Cyberpunk Edgerunners and I bet i'm going to have the same empty feeling tomorrow when its over.
-
best game I have ever played, I've never been so emotionally attached to a piece of media in my entire life.

-
content amount
4 positive · 13 negative · 0 mixed · 0 neutral
-
The actual amount of gameplay (and the style of the gameplay that interested me) is actually pretty infrequent. I think per episode (about 6-8 episodes as per the scheduled 12th November) has a single screen of dispatching.
-
Its a shame the game isnt actually really released yet and wont let you play it fully for 2 months because it has episodic release?
-
This is probably the best game I have played in a while, can't wait for future episodes

-
graphics

☑ Good
-
The game is technically good, and the graphics plus plot is good.
-
The graphics are some of the best I’ve seen, and the storytelling is on a whole different level—I don’t think I’ve ever laughed this much while playing a game (in the best possible way).
-
-
pacing
8 positive · 4 negative · 0 mixed · 1 neutral
-
The tone never wobbles, the character arcs pay off, and the game respects your time and attention in a way that’s rare.
-
The weekly episode releases were also a nice touch.
-
The episodic nature works for the story as it can get emotionally intense and the credits give a momentary pause to catch your breath again.

☑ Potato
-
• I didn’t have any problems with framerate, stuttering, bugs, or crashes.
-
It ran pretty flawlessly on my PC at launch and only got better with patches. It's no wonder since the game isn't exactly running any intense calculations, instead all that power is put into animations and behind the scene checks which progress the story.

How this report was made
- Population
- all Steam reviews of the game (every language, purchase type, and verdict), walked newest-first per window; only English-language reviews are analyzed
- Sample
- 651 English reviews, time-proportional draw over 52 windows (newest-first within each), taken from an all-language walk and kept English-only — where English is a minority the sample runs smaller than the draw, and every margin of error is computed at 651
- Aspect yield
- 347 of 651 analyzed reviews carry at least one aspect (53.3%); every share on this page divides by all 651
- Interval regime
- calm: standard margins of error for a share of a sample (Wilson interval), no widening needed
- Fetch paths
- 52 time windows fetched directly (windowed)
- Language mix
- 1,000 fetched: english 654 · russian 106 · brazilian 50 · 19 more
- Steam-marked windows
- none flagged by Steam (Valve's off-topic flagging began March 2019)
- Marked share
- 0.0% of sample inside marked windows, under the 2% floor
- Narrative
- passed the grounding gate first try
- Evidence floor
- aspects and emergent themes appear only with 5+ supporting reviews; smaller counts sit at the classifier's false-positive floor
- Instrument readings
- measured once on the study corpus for this model and prompt: frozen calibration, not properties of this run
- · aspect tagging vs. human labels
- 0.801 [0.752–0.844] (F1 against a human-labeled test set; 1.0 is best)
- · quotes filed under the wrong aspect
- 11.6% [6.6–19.6] of quotes, measured by hand on a sample; lower is better — measured on the prior model (2026-08-05); re-measurement pending
- · independent model vs. production labels
- 0.791 [0.772–0.810] (F1 of the production labeler against an independent judge model) — measured on the prior model (2026-07-25); re-measurement pending
