Firehawk: FPV Drone Shooter
analyzed 2026-08-18 · complete count of 356 English reviews
Players most often talk about the gameplay itself, and the tone there is strongly positive: reviewers describe a game that "combines fpv drones with combat very well" and "knows what fun is". The same enthusiasm carries into progression and content, with mentions of "alot of things to unlock" and "quite a few drones to play and weapons and upgrades to get". Addictiveness is mentioned only positively, with players calling the game "pretty addicting" and "super addictive in the best way". Updates and developer conduct also draw praise, including "really active on the Firehawk FPV discord". The clearest recurring criticism is the UI, which draws negative comments from 23 of the 26 reviews that mention it. Players say "menu UI could be slightly better" and "The UI could use some polishing up". Graphics are also a sore spot, with one player writing "graphics is just terrible". Balance and bugs are mentioned only negatively, including complaints about "ineffective weaponry" and flying units that "get stuck in objects or suddenly fly away and explode". Stability issues appear as well, with one player noting "game crashes I have only in this game". Opinion splits appear around controls, physics, and realism. Many players praise the feel of flight — "feels pretty true to life in terms of flying a drone" — and the ability to use real radio gear, while others report frustrations with control and physics quirks. Multiplayer is a common wish rather than a current feature, with players saying "Would love love love multiplayer".

Works with Taranis X9D+ and the Frsky XSR-SIM.
-
You can also use your radio and even plug in your goggles if they have an HDMI port and get the full immersion experience.
-
Very nice feeling.

physics
22 positive · 16 negative · 3 mixed · 1 neutral
-
Its a really fun FPV simulator with physics comparable to other sims, but with the inclusion of a pretty fleshed out roguelike mode - which makes it so much more fun than just flying around aimlessly in other FPV sims.
-
this is single handedly the funnest fpv game/simulator i have plaed, really great mechanics and the phisycs are quite good, only things i have noticed that are in need of a fix are some of the bots and ai being stuck in the words objects and cars driving into stuff.
-
Awesome physics, need an xbox controller to get the full physics though.

Super fun game, a lot more content than the demo
-
There are quite a few drones to play and weapons and upgrades to get.
-
played the demo a lot and loved it - full release adds a lot, more maps, more drones, more enemies.

progression

The rouge like loop is therem there is alot of things to unlock over all, and you can level up your starting drone durring your run.
-
Can't wait to see what they add to this, and I'm very excited to progress in the skill tree
-
The progression system is great and has you coming back for more.

learning curve

To train Skills with FPV its great
-
This high octane rogue like will have your muscle memory fine tuned for IRL flying in no-time!
-
My struggle zone is the tight spaces but this might actually help me with getting better with that.
-
-
level design
16 positive · 11 negative · 3 mixed · 0 neutral
-
These missions provide a decent variety of objectives and some great terrain to navigate through while you complete them.
-
Great practice for FPV flyers since some missions take you into tight spaces.
-
flight controls are tight, weapon controls are simple and intuitive, energy management is seamless and punishing if you get reckless, and the environments are packed with detail and all the nooks and crannies you need to be a speedy little bastard that can obliterate a battlefield.

difficulty

I love that it really pushes my limited skills.
-
The enemies and the game itself get progressively harder the more you play, so it feels like the devs really thought this through.
-
I have really enjoyed FPV flying but this is exactly what I wanted to make flying a drone more exciting and challenging!

The UI could use some polishing up, but the core gameplay is super solid.

multiplayer
12 positive · 9 negative · 0 mixed · 4 neutral
-
… creator, some general polish on the menu system, different game modes (psudo-stealth recon missions come to mind), if possible multiplayer would be badass (either coop or competitive would be amazing) and finally mod support.
-
Would love love love multiplayer, and a battle royale mode.
-
I hope the developer can bring co-op multiplayer to it!

realism

This game is alot of fun and feels pretty true to life in terms of flying a drone.
-
Это своеобразный ДУМ, придуманный для дроноводов\вертолетоводов, который весьма адекватно моделирует поведение реального дрона, и вообще для тех людей, кому интересно попробовать управление, отличное от клава-мыши (можно и на них, но не уверен, …
-
The flight characteristics seem really realistic, in regards to other popular sims and even IRL flying.

combat

Actually having combat in an FPV game really makes it.
-
flight controls are tight, weapon controls are simple and intuitive, energy management is seamless and punishing if you get reckless, and the environments are packed with detail and all the nooks and crannies you need to be a speedy little bastard that can obliterate a battlefield.

The weapon selection is good, and the various gadgets are sweet.

graphics

However the graphics is just terrible.
-
Really fun game, and even though the graphics and performance could be way better for the price they’re asking, it’s still a lot of fun and really helps you practice.
-
Graphics are trash but the gameplay is very fun and makes up for it.

These missions provide a decent variety of objectives and some great terrain to navigate through while you complete them.

It features a pretty impressive skill tree, weapon variety, and diversity in missions for a $20 FPV oriented rogue-like experience.
-
- missions for the most part are good. There is some variety of the objectives.

updates
15 positive · 1 negative · 0 mixed · 0 neutral

Edit 2: They fixed indoor issues with the latest patch based on player feedback.
-
I really hope the dev doesn’t abandon it and keeps updating and working on it—it has a lot of potential.
-
I hope the developer continues to support the game post-launch, because I think the base gameplay is great, and it just needs a little polish to smooth out the rough edges.
-
-
price value
9 positive · 6 negative · 0 mixed · 0 neutral
-
Definitely worth the purchase!
-
But overall I have fun, I think the game is worth the money.
-
Easily worth it for 20 USD, considering this actually will help your IRL flying, and is more fun than a regular sim if you want a little more objective.

balance
0 positive · 10 negative · 0 mixed · 0 neutral
-
Which means you're now having to fly through tiny gaps while shooting at things with ineffective weaponry, where you can fire once every 3-4 seconds because your drone doesn't have enough energy to fire more often.
-
I'd really like to see a more "hardcore" damage model as I find the base level drone is quite tanky, and also deals a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of damage to enemies.
-
Sometimes the game feels easy, sometimes impossible.
-
-
bugs
0 positive · 10 negative · 0 mixed · 0 neutral
-
On widescreens, some assets stretch, while the game and loading screens don’t, which feels a bit choppy.
-
A glitch here and there, but overall pretty polished already.
-
Especially flying units do weird stuff, like get stuck in objects or suddenly fly away and explode.

-
ai behavior

this is single handedly the funnest fpv game/simulator i have plaed, really great mechanics and the phisycs are quite good, only things i have noticed that are in need of a fix are some of the bots and ai being stuck in the words objects and cars driving into stuff.

They are really good shots and have the ability to shoot you through cover.
-
My only suggestions would be multiplayer and better AI.

-
music
1 positive · 6 negative · 0 mixed · 1 neutral
-
Also, the main menu soundtrack gets annoying really quickly, and in the game itself there’s no music at all.
-
Also, the lack of music is very noticeable, this type of gameplay pushes you toward a flow state and would feel a lot better with a high intensity soundtrack backing it.
-
Just add more music and gameplay to it.

Great Mac support

best fpv simulator aka game on mac

Works really well with the steam deck, just needs a slight change to button mapping for changing the set camera angles but still really good game, could do with longer …

-
replayability
4 positive · 3 negative · 0 mixed · 0 neutral
-
i just keep playing level after level.
-
The above gives you what actually feels like infinite rogue-like replayability.
-
I've had tons of fun with this so far, and while typical simulators are still very important for practicing deliberate maneuvers and fundamentals, this game is perfect for simply logging time behind the sticks. I can easily recommend it to pilots of all skill levels.

-
stability
0 positive · 6 negative · 0 mixed · 0 neutral
-
For the negatives: it doesn’t save your run (at least for me), so I have to keep starting over, which is very annoying.
-
Unfortunately, all of this gets overshadowed by game crashes I have only in this game.
-
the game makes my x52 pro flicker, and has caused a bsod twice.

developer conduct
5 positive · 0 negative · 0 mixed · 0 neutral

With all that said, the developers are pretty active on their Discord and have already addressed some of the concerns I've mentioned above.
-
… actual music in the game, which suits me, I can have my own tunes in the background anyhoo, amazing work from the devs, who are really active on the Firehawk FPV discord, all round top notch game, would have paid more tbh ;)
-
The devs seem to listen as well—they even added an idea I had for rates settings.
