I enjoy the fighting and whatnot but it's just a nightmare to traverse and figure out wtf is going on.

Combat is fluid and responsive, leaning heavily into RPG mechanics.
-
- Dope combat, not too challenging most of the time but can get tough with those brolic mercenaries so it feels rewarding when you beat them.

Try to get it on sale and the DLCs aren’t that bad either.
-
The DLC's are one of the few cases where its a miss not to buy them, there's two story DLC's each consisting of three chapters.
-
The main story was great, but at times could get a little repetitive, but that was usually just for max 30 minutes at a time, but the DLC's was for the most part amazing all the way through.

- It seems like the developers put in some effort with historical figures by including them as NPCs and it’s honestly really hilarious seeing them in cutscenes with the liberties the writers took when assigning personalities.

developer conduct
1 positive · 14 negative · 2 mixed · 0 neutral
-
… ad towards valhalla wasn't obvious, but this is when it's not about quality game anymore and more about quality marketing. And they probably lied about being able to play as kassandra in the next game.
-
Desperate little gaming company. I wish it bankrupts.
-
In a way, it would be neat to see what they do with the game but I lack faith that Ubisoft can actually make a well thought out game that has good pacing and doesn’t overstay it’s welcome.

Amazing game, however in classic fashion it, it begins to really fall off in quality at the very end.

But it is a very tiresome experience to make it 100% with all DLCs, so take your time.

I wanted to love this game, but the open world aspect of it just feels so empty and drags on.

Map is huge but traversal takes like 20 min to go from one location to another, not to mention when u try to just follow road automatically with horse majority of the time it says no road around, when ur clearly on one, and the horse decides to just walk constantly.
-
Pls fix the mvt mechanics.
-
A couple reasons I would not give a higher rating is that the movement/parkour is a bit finicky and could use some improvement and the horse keeps having trouble path-finding its way towards me whenever I call him.

-
- The map is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ huge. So big that it almost made me quit the game cause I just didn’t want to bother with horse riding 600 meters to a silly side mission but once you get those quick travel points down it’s all good.
-
However, the Achilles' heel of the game is definitely the map. It's incredibly vast and so intricately designed that it leads to an overwhelming number of secondary missions.

How this report was made
- Population
- all Steam reviews of the game (every language, purchase type, and verdict), walked newest-first per window; only English-language reviews are analyzed
- Sample
- 453 English reviews, time-proportional draw over 97 windows (newest-first within each), taken from an all-language walk and kept English-only — where English is a minority the sample runs smaller than the draw, and every margin of error is computed at 453
- Aspect yield
- 250 of 453 analyzed reviews carry at least one aspect (55.2%); every share on this page divides by all 453
- Interval regime
- calm: standard margins of error for a share of a sample (Wilson interval), no widening needed
- Fetch paths
- 97 time windows fetched directly (windowed)
- Language mix
- 1,000 fetched: english 454 · schinese 116 · brazilian 89 · 23 more
- Steam-marked windows
- none flagged by Steam (Valve's off-topic flagging began March 2019)
- Marked share
- 0.0% of sample inside marked windows, under the 2% floor
- Narrative
- passed the grounding gate first try
- Evidence floor
- aspects and emergent themes appear only with 5+ supporting reviews; smaller counts sit at the classifier's false-positive floor
- Instrument readings
- measured once on the study corpus for this model and prompt: frozen calibration, not properties of this run
- · aspect tagging vs. human labels
- 0.801 [0.752–0.844] (F1 against a human-labeled test set; 1.0 is best)
- · quotes filed under the wrong aspect
- 11.6% [6.6–19.6] of quotes, measured by hand on a sample; lower is better — measured on the prior model (2026-08-05); re-measurement pending
- · independent model vs. production labels
- 0.791 [0.772–0.810] (F1 of the production labeler against an independent judge model) — measured on the prior model (2026-07-25); re-measurement pending
